Here are some easy tips to help increase your QR code engagement on your screens.
Create a Compelling Messaging
Messaging that informs your users on what to expect with the scan and concise call to actions (CTAs) increase engagement. CTAs that convey urgency and drive customers to a point of action provide value for guests inside your venue. Examples: “Get ___ Free,” “Sign up today,” etc.
At least 2 minutes of continuous screen time
The CTA needs time to resonate AND the patron needs to have enough time to pull out their phone and launch the camera. We recommend at least 2 minutes for each asset with a QR code so your customers can successfully scan.
Your QR Campaign is scheduled for 20% or more of the screen time
If engagement is a priority, it should have a majority of the screen time. You want to make sure your campaign is scheduled appropriately.
Promote key QR codes longer with Fixed Panel
Fixed Panel allows you to keep important QR code campaigns on the screen longer, giving your customers more opportunities to engage and scan your code. Your QR code will run continuously along side your regular playlist.
Total Playlist length is <= the Average Visit Duration
You should make sure your patrons have a chance to see the content on your screen. Think of your approximate dwell time in your venue and make sure you content has a high enough frequency in your playlist that you patrons will be sure to see it!
Make sure your design is eye catching
If your design isn’t visually appealing, you patrons might not notice it on the screen. To get a customer’s attention, use attractive graphics and messaging around the QR code to draw eyes to the screen. You can choose from various templates with our Canva integration.
