On game day, you may occasionally experience a lag between multiple TVs, or moments where the stream is not entirely synchronized. This will sometimes resolve or "catch up" on its own. Issues like these are not within Everpass' control. However, below are some common reasons your feed is not syncing and some ways to reduce this.
Network Buffering - Internet conditions or high network traffic may cause buffering between devices. This could cause one TV to display content just ahead or behind another. If devices are connected via WiFi, switching to a wired Ethernet connection may reduce this variability.
Signal Path Differences - The way the signal is transmitted to each device might differ. Standardizing the signal path as much as possible will help eliminate timing differences.
- If some devices are closer to the router than others, it could result in a timing discrepancy
- Avoid using older/lower quality HDMI cables. Shorter cables are preferred over longer cables.
- Signal processing through additional equipment (i.e. splitters, AV receivers) may cause delay
TV Processing Delay - Ensure all of your TVs mirror the same settings (i.e. motion, smoothing, audio settings, etc) to minimize picture and sound delays.
